After being recommended by his school my son did his practice ‘Open’ Silver D of E expedition this summer with ATNE and then in October he took part in his Qualifying expedition with a larger group from his school. Adventure Training North East was a great recommendation, from my first communication with Jon Chamberlain right through to Qualification. With school run expeditions it is easier to feel more relaxed about safety and support in numbers etc, but I can honestly say that Jon’s regular communication, quick response to queries and kit advice etc was very reassuring and didn't prove otherwise throughout both expeditions. My Son clearly enjoyed both expeditions, with Jon’s teaching and guidance. I would highly recommend ATNE to anyone else and wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future. Sounds like they do an amazing variety of experiences, how lucky to have this provision on our doorstep.
