Climbing Wall Route Setting
Our route setters are climbers with vast climbing experience. They have the technical skills to safely and efficiently manage the refurbishment of your climbing wall. All route setters are trained in the key element of peer rescue and support. They use equipment designed for working at height and have an exemplary safety record.
Your Climbing Wall will require its routes stripping, cleaning and re-setting if you are to maintain the interest of your climbing clients. For most school or college based Walls this may be a termly, bi-annual , or annual service need.
What we do is set routes that are appropriate to your client's need. It is so important for inexperienced climbers to gain the level of success required to gain confidence and therefore to motivate continued involvement in climbing. We will give you honest advice, strip your wall, clean your holds and then re-set in an imaginative and appropriate way.
Adventure Training North East provide all three services (stripping, cleaning and re-setting). Cost are generally £25 per hour per instructor and 25p per mile travel expenses.
