Climbing in Spain

Join Jon Chamberlain (MIA), ATNE's highly experienced rock climbing instructor, for a week of sunny sport climbing on the perfect limestone of either El Chorro, or the Costa Blanca, Spain.

Please contact us; we will be delighted to try and help you plan a trip and develop your Sport Climbing. Trips run from October to May each year.

What about a long weekend of sunny climbing? Friday to Monday (inclusive).

Or a mid-week break? Monday to Friday (inclusive).

Trip content:

  • - Single and Multi-pitch sport routes
  • - Safe belaying
  • - Descending from sport routes
  • - Lots of high quality routes

What is included in the price:

  • - Guiding and climbing instruction
  • - Accommodation - if you wish to organise your own accommodation, that is fine.
  • - Airport transfers in resort and all transport to crags during the week. Motorway tolls.
  • - Climbing equipment hire
  • - Lots of climbing at your grade - we often include a Via Ferrata trip mid-way through the week

What you need:

  • - Full valid passport and EHIC
  • - Personal accident and travel insurance - we recommend the British Mountaineering Council (BMC)
  • - Money for packed lunches and evening meals.
  • - Return flights - generally from Newcastle International Airport

I've been climbing for half a year but this was my first time lead climbing outdoors. I pushed my climbing to a new level and by the end of the trip I'd completed my first 6a. The climbing, along with the spectacular views from the top of the crags and the banter back at The Orange House made the week an amazing experience.
